An Awful Case

I GET a mash note every morning now;
There's no denyin' that he's got a case;
The other girls have dropped out of the race--
They never had a look-in, anyhow.
Last night I gave him just a little bow;
You ought of saw the glad look on his face!
The ushers had to hold him in his place,
And every time I'd kick he'd holler "Wow!"

He's asked me out to eat at his expense,
And am I goin'? Give a guess or two;
I've got an appetite that is immense,
My thirst is also just as good as new;
Say, wouldn't the surroundin' gloom be dense
If I woke up and found it wasn't true!
